Shilling Desk: terms of use
The rules this site is published under, including the commercial part.

Using what is here
Read it, print it, quote it with a link back. Do not republish whole pages as your own, and do not scrape the site to rebuild it elsewhere. The register extracts come from public records and belong to nobody; the writing around them is ours.
Questions about reuse, and anything else about these terms: contact@shillingdesk.com.
This is information, not advice
Everything on Shilling Desk is general information about how forex trading and broker licensing work in Uganda. It is not financial advice, not a recommendation and not an offer. We do not know your income, your obligations or your tolerance for loss, and nothing here is adjusted to them.
Giving investment advice in Uganda is a regulated activity. We are not licensed for it and do not carry it on. If you want advice, take it from someone the CMA Uganda authorises to give it.
How this site is paid for
Some outbound links to brokers are partner links: if you open an account through one, we may be paid by the broker. You pay nothing extra, and the payment changes nothing on this site. The register extract is copied from the regulator, and no firm can pay to appear in it, to be removed from it or to have its status described differently.
Every partner link is marked as sponsored in the markup and sits behind a label that says where it goes. We do not sell editorial placement, and we do not rank brokers.
Accuracy, and its limits
Registers change daily, brokers change their terms, and a page is a snapshot of the day it was written. We date what we publish and say where it came from so you can check it at the source, which is the only version that is current.
We do not warrant that the site is complete, error-free or uninterrupted. Where a figure matters to a decision about money, check it against the CMA Uganda register or the broker's own documents before you act on it.
Trading risk
Leveraged forex and CFD trading can lose you more than a small share of your deposit, quickly. Most retail accounts lose money. A licence means a firm is supervised; it does not mean your money is safe from trading losses, and no page on this site should be read as suggesting otherwise.
Other people's sites
We link to regulators, exchanges, central banks and brokers. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for what they publish, and a link is not an endorsement - least of all when we link to a warning about a firm.
