About This Ugandan Forex Guide

This guide is published independently for Ugandan readers who want clear facts about forex, not sales talk.

Updated Sep 2026 · how we rate brokers

This guide is published independently and funded by advertising, not by brokers

This guide is written and published by an independent editorial team based in Uganda. It is funded by general advertising and affiliate links. No broker pays for a page, a ranking, or a favourable mention.

That funding model has one rule attached: advertisers never see pages before publication and cannot change them afterwards. If a broker appears in a comparison, it is because the page needs an example, not because money changed hands.

The guide is written for readers in Uganda. Prices are shown in UGX (USh) where a price is given, and times are shown in EAT (East Africa Time, UTC+3).

We verify claims against the CMA Uganda register and the broker's own pages

The Capital Markets Authority of Uganda (CMA Uganda) is the regulator. Its public list of licensed persons is the CMA Uganda licensed persons list at cmauganda.co.ug. That list is the first place to check any firm that offers investment services here.

One caveat applies to online forex dealing. Whether CMA Uganda licenses online forex dealing needs confirmation on its register. Check the register directly before you send money to any firm.

For payment details, we point you to the source. Mobile Money is the main payment rail in Uganda, alongside MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, bank transfer and card. Fees, limits and processing times sit in the Mobile Money app or on the broker's funding page. We do not guess those numbers.

Corrections are welcome and are made in the open

If you find a mistake, email the address on the contact page with the page URL and the sentence you think is wrong. A short note is enough.

We check every correction against a primary source: the CMA Uganda register, the broker's own funding page, or the Mobile Money app. If the source confirms you are right, the page is fixed and a dated note is added at the bottom.

If the source does not confirm it, we say so and explain what we found. We do not quietly delete corrections, and we do not leave a wrong number standing because it is convenient.

What this guide will not do

It will not promise profit. Forex prices move against people, and no page can tell you what a pair will do next. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something.

It will not call a specific broker licensed, safe or best. That call belongs to the CMA Uganda register and to your own checks. Brokers are covered on other pages, with the checks you can run yourself.

It will not invent numbers. Where a figure matters, such as a spread, a fee or a minimum deposit, the page tells you where to look it up instead of filling the gap with a guess.

Trading forex and CFDs on margin carries a high risk of losing more than you deposit. Most retail accounts lose money. Nothing on this page is financial advice.
